Guidelines for Abstract Submission for Scientific Presentations

We invite submissions for abstracts for Oral or Poster presentations under the categories of Original Research/ Systematic Review/ Rare case Report or Case Series/ Narrative Review. Please adhere to the following guidelines for structured abstracts.

Abstract Submission Formats

1. Abstract for Original Research

Structure:

  • Title: A concise and informative title that reflects the study’s content.

  • Objectives: Clearly state the aims and objectives of the research.

  • Methods: Briefly describe the study design, population, interventions, and analytical techniques used.

  • Results: Summarize the key findings, including relevant statistics or data.

  • Conclusion: Provide a clear conclusion that addresses the objectives and implications of the findings.

  • No final results are required.

2. Abstract for Systematic Review

Structure:

  • Title: An informative title indicating the systematic review topic.

  • Objectives: Clearly define the purpose of the systematic review.

  • PROSPERO Registration Number: Include the registration number if applicable.

  • Methods: Describe the search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and analysis methods used in the review.

  • Results: Summarize the main findings, including any quantitative or qualitative analyses.

  • Conclusion: State the implications of the findings and their relevance to the field.

Note: A systematic review must have been conducted by the author to be eligible for submission.

3. Abstract of a Rare Case Report/Case Series

Structure:

  • Introduction: Briefly outline the background and relevance of the case or cases being reported.

  • Case Report: Provide detailed information on the clinical presentation, diagnostic workup, treatment, and outcomes.

  • Clinical Significance or Unique Feature: Highlight the unique aspects of the case or series and their implications for clinical practice

4. Abstract for mini review:

Structure:

  • Title followed by an unstructured abstract.










1. It is required of all presenters to register for the conference.
2. It is required of the presenting author to be a registered member of IAOMP (Life & Student).
3. Presentable works must be unique, unpublished, and unpresented.
4. A chief presenter may only accept one presentation and one co-author per person.
5. The co-author's registration for the conference is required; without it, the presentation won't be approved.
6. The presenting author and one co-author will be the only ones to receive the certificate for the oral or poster presentation.
7. First authorship is required for the presenting author and corresponding author.
8. Prior to submission, the first author must make sure the other writers are informed on the abstract's contents.
9. The faculty presentation will not have a co-author.
10. The Head of the Department's signature must be obtained by the first author.
11. Considering the available presentation slots, the scientific committee reserves the right to reclassify accepted presentations from paper to poster and vice versa.
12. Non-published data and a complete abstract that hasn't been presented at any other national or international venue before are requirements for submission.
13. All submissions are subject to assessment by the scientific committee. The first author will receive notification of the acceptance of their abstract and the presentation schedule.

For poster/paper presentations it is mandated that the candidate/delegate does not mention their names and institutional credentials, but just mention their individual registration IDs on the top right corner of the presentation for posters and on the first slide for the paper


General Submission Guidelines

  • Title of the abstract should be limited to 20 words for all categories

  • Word Limit: Abstracts must not exceed 250 words.

  • Font and Formatting: Use Times New Roman Heading font -14, Content -12.

Submission Method: Abstracts should be submitted via email.

Deadline: All abstracts must be submitted by February 28, 2025,

Final Poster & Paper must be submitted by May 15, 2025.

The author will receive correspondence about the submission from the scientific committee.

Additional Instructions

  • Ensure clarity and precision in your writing. Avoid jargon and use straightforward language.

  • Each section should be clearly labelled as per the specified structure.

  • Do not include references, tables, or figures in the abstract.
